Mrs. Huber's Notes

Get ready to dance the night away at Frosty’s Disco this Friday! ❄️ Our very own DJ Cuest will be spinning tunes as we light up the dance floor. The dance is FREE, and you can preorder Chick-fil-A or grab snacks from the concession stand while you groove!

Looking ahead to February, our Student Council is launching the Pennies for Patients campaign to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Our goal is to raise $1,000, and we’ve lined up some hilarious teacher dares along the way! 🎯 Want to see teachers eat chocolate-covered bugs? Try the straight-arm water bottle challenge live on announcements? If we hit our goal, the student body will get to vote—should Mrs. Huber get slimed at a pep rally or duct taped to the gym wall by EVERY student?! 😱

Also, Spring Conferences are coming up the week of February 10, with Family Conference Night on February 11. Teachers have sent home conference notes—if you didn’t receive one but would like to meet, please reach out using the Rooms app or via email. Teacher emails can be found on the MCS Kinder website.

Stay tuned for more details, and let’s have fun while making a difference! 💙💛 #KinderCares #PenniesForPatients #FrostysDisco #KinderConferences

From Our District Nursing Staff...

Dear Parents:

Attending school on a regular basis is important for each child’s academic and social development. Parents often have trouble deciding whether their child is too ill to go to school. Your child is too sick to go to school and should remain home if any of these symptoms are present:

Has a temperature of 100 degrees or above. When your child has been fever-free for 24 hours (WITHOUT FEVER-REDUCING MEDICATION), is feeling better and has no other symptoms, he/she may return to school

Has pain from earache, headache, sore throat or a recent injury

Has a cough that interferes with the child’s daily routine

Has vomiting or diarrhea

Has green or yellow drainage from the eyes

Has broken out in an unknown/contagious rash

Has a contagious disease such as chickenpox, strep throat, pinkeye, COVID-19, Influenza or other respiratory virus

These symptoms may also result in your child being sent home from school. If your child is sent home from school with a fever, they should be fever-free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school.

Thank you!
