Principal's Message
It's been an absolutely wonderful start to the 2025-2026 school year at Bear Primary!
Students and teachers are finishing up with the first round of universal screening assessments. All K-2 students participate in the universal screening process three times during the school year (beginning, middle and end) in the following areas: reading, math and social-emotional skills. Teachers will use this information to develop intervention and/or enrichment opportunities. Your child's universal screening results will be shared with you during parent-teachers conferences in early October.
Students are doing an incredible job with building-wide procedures and they are earning Burg Bucks like crazy! You can learn more about Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) at Bear Primary by reading the information below.
I would like to thank parents and caregivers for your support this year. It can be difficult for students to transition back to school after summer break and we appreciate your efforts to ensure students get enough rest and have regular attendance. Please continue to support the efficiency of arrival and dismissal by following the procedures below and by notifying your child's teacher or the office staff of transportation changes.
Finally the Miamisburg City Schools is always looking for individuals to fill various positions in the school district. Open positions can be viewed on the MCS Human Resources page on the district website.
