Principal's Message
Last Friday we hosted our very first round of C.U.B. Clubs. C.U.B. Clubs are designed to support students' sense of Connection, Understanding and Belonging with Bear Primary staff and peers. Clubs meet once per quarter. Another purpose of C.U.B. Clubs is to foster a positive school climate. I am happy to report in a recent survey conducted with students that 99% of our students agree with the statement, "My teacher cares about me". Additionally, 97% of Bear Primary students agreed with the statement, "I feel safe at school." Mrs. Hall will be following up individually with students that had any negative responses so that we can address concerns. Ask your child which Bear Primary staff member was his/her C.U.B. Club facilitator and if they met any new students and about taking the climate survey!
Second quarter attendance has remained strong and we have been able to maintain a 95.14% overall building rate!!! Students are well on their way to earning "Reindeer Games" on Friday, December 19th. Our chronic absenteeism is down to 7.8% which is the lowest it has ever been during my time here. For comparison purposes the chronic absenteeism rate during the 2023-2024 school year was 27%. We are working on some creative solutions for students who miss the bus and need transportation to school, so be on the lookout for more information on this topic very soon.
Finally, the Miamisburg City Schools is always looking for individuals to fill various positions in the school district. Open positions can be viewed on the MCS Human Resources page on the district website.
